問：阿含經中說：修習 七覺分或入出息念，可得二果、四果、七果，這種果依何來區分？
答： ◆二果，指不還果、阿羅漢果，這是依據斷除 五下分結得不還果，和 斷除五上分結得阿羅漢果來建立。 ◆四果，指預流果、一來果、不還果、阿羅漢果，這是依據 見道、修道的過程來建立：預流果斷除見道所斷煩惱（有三結）， 一來果、不還果、阿羅漢果斷除修道所斷煩惱（有七結）。 ◆七果，指現法證涅槃者、臨終證涅槃者、五不還者，這是依據生結、起結的差異來建立。
