林教授：
藏传佛教以密教为主，宏扬的是中观应成派。但在藏地有许多唯识的经论，如《瑜伽师地论》等，请问林教授，藏地既不宏扬唯识，这些经是如何保存下来的？

林教授答：
（1）藏傳佛教是顯密並重，不是密教為主。 （2）研究佛法義理時，三乘和顯密有基礎和共通的部分。許多佛法術語的解釋和看法，都在毗曇和唯識的論典中，且是三乘和顯密都共通的。《瑜伽師地論》等便是如此。因而藏傳佛教便保存了《瑜伽師地論》等不少要典。 （3）唯識宗、中觀宗只是對一些主張有不同的立場而已（如，一切法是自性有或自性無）
